A 20th Century Miracle!
Fabrication of plastic is ever present in our lives. The designing and engineering for packaging of all sorts, from wood and cardboard to plastics of all sizes and shapes demand many of the skills that inspire me, as an artist. Superior design, imagination, ingenuity, persistent focus on securing valuable items, especially delicate ones, are essential components for shipping and arriving safely which parallel my innovative works of art. Utility is packaging’s major demand…unlike the creation of most visual art. The shape, transparency and high gloss finish of plastic items are inherent characteristics that enhance its amazing beauty, its wide range of usefulness and my imagination. I am excited by the opportunity to experience the challenge of reorganizing beautifully crafted transparent or cardboard shapes into new visual discoveries.
